Financial Donations
The Fruit & Flower community has long recognized the value in having children from diverse backgrounds learning together. This is why the scholarship program has traditionally received the support of Fruit & Flower families and friends through appeals and the annual auction. Our scholarship program cannot achieve full success without your participation. We depend on contributions from our community to continue to steward the mission set forth by the Fruit & Flower founders more than one hundred years ago. Our dedication to that vision is also what draws the best teachers, and provides the means to upgrade classrooms, playgrounds, equipment, tools for learning and excellent nutrition.
Fruit & Flower is a non-profit 501(c)3 and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Matching Gift Donations
Check with your company to see if they will match your contribution to Fruit & Flower. Many businesses will match payroll deductions, charitable giving, time spent volunteering, and other ways to support our school.
Annual Auction
Each year, parents and staff hold an annual auction to raise funds for our facility and to help support our scholarship program. We ask for funds for Fruit & Flower’s scholarship program to help offset child care costs for eligible families that cannot afford the monthly fees. Fruit & Flower also uses funds raised at the auction for facility upgrades.
We will gladly accept any donation. Examples of items we have auctioned in the past include: gift certificates, facials, massages, artwork, fishing trips, new bicycles, custom golf clubs, wine, framing or printing services, new snowboards, yoga classes, book collections, and weekend trips. This is an opportunity to give back to your community. If you would like to donate an item, or find out more information about the Auction, please contact the center: (503) 2228-8349.
